queenstown, new zealand:

Queenstown is probably one of New Zealand's most famous destinations, and the gateway to adventure all things outdoors. I have visited a few times, but it was my first time over the New Year period, and it was crazy busy! It was nice for the buzz, however Andrew and I soon got over the crowds and had to get away. We headed to one of our favourite spots, Glenorchy, stopping off along the way to do some walks and enjoy stunning Lake Wakatipu. The drive is one of my all time favourites, as it hugs the lake and opens up to some incredible views of the mountains.
That's one of the great things about New Zealand, if it ever does feel slightly busy or crowded, you don't have head far before enjoying the feeling of  having the whole place to yourself.

next: Aspiring National Park and the West Coast.
